About the 7 Week Workshop

Specially designed for those who want to inculcate professional filmmaking skills in a competitive environment.
We aim to teach you all the aspects of filmmaking, such as intellectual, moral and aesthetic. Along with this, you will get a first-hand experience of all the stages of filmmaking, right through conceptualization to the final editing. All the students will be required/taught to produce a short documentary film during the period of this course.
Each student will be presented with the opportunity to direct their short film along with a crew of no more than 4 members. The assigned roles of the students would be rotational as and when their fellow crewmate directs his/her film. This would give every student an experience of handling each task that comes up during the production process.

Second Stage
Understanding film shooting
Here, the students would be required to shoot their documentaries over a couple of days. Their film rushes would be screened to the entire group, followed by a feedback session.

This would allow the fellow student director to gather information and correct/improve their shots during the film production.
Second Stage
Third Stage
Finishing and editing of individual films
The students would be required to sort through the rushes along with a professional editor. With this, they'll be able to produce a complete film, allowing them to identify the main structure of it and later on to finish the editing.

The editing period will be when the students would be required to pay the most attention, as it'll make them aware of their shots, expectations and results, and some secret aspects that each shot displays.
